Vegas tourneys loaded with talent and college coaches

— Arkansas Coach Mike Anderson and his staff along with hundreds of other college coaches will be in Las Vegas today through Sunday for three major basketball tournaments.

The Adidas Uprising Summer Championships, FAB 48 and Bigfoot Hoops will feature most of the nation's top talent.

The Hog coaches will be at the three events and will watch two of the three 2017 commitments and 2019 point guard commitment Justice Hill along with numerous other targets in the 2017, 2018 and 2019 classes.

El Dorado center and Hog pledge Daniel Gafford, 6-11, 223 of Team Portis Wings will start pool play Wednesday night at 9:30 in Bigfoot while Little Rock Mills and Hog small forward commitment Darious Hall, 6-6, 210 of Team Magic Elite will begin play at 6:20 in the evening in the Adidas Summer Championships.

Gafford is ESPN's No. 10 center and No. 52 overall prospect in the nation.

The 16-under Arkansas Hawks are competing in the Adidas Uprising Summer Championships and will feature forwards, Reggie Perry, 6-10, 215, of Thomasville, Ga. and Ethan Henderson, 6-8, 190 of Little Rock Parkview and guards Desi Sills, 6-0, 170 of Jonesboro and Isaiah Joe, 6-2,170 of Fort Smith Northside along with Hill.

The Hogs are also looking hard at Hawks 2019 center Caleb Stokes 6-9, 250 of Little Rock Parkview. The Hawks will play their first game at 9:20 Thursday morning.

ESPN rates Perry the No. 19 small forward in the 2018 class while Henderson is the No. 20 small forward on the nation.

Arkansas made sure to see Auburn, (Ala.) power forward Garrison Brooks, 6-9, 215 of Team Carroll in St. Louis over the weekend and will be on hand this week. Team Carroll will begin play at 6:20 Wednesday evening.

2018 Baptist Prep center Connor Vanover, who has offers from Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Alabama and Ole Miss, will be playing for Team Texas in the FAB 48. ESPN rates him the No. 8 center in the 2018 class.

Vanover, 7-3, 210 and Team Texas will play in the FAB 48 Tip-Off Classic at 8:30 Wednesday night.

Highly regarded 2018 guard Courtney Ramey, who plays for Team Ramey, recently received an offer from the Razorbacks. He also has offers from Texas, Missouri, Ole Miss, Iowa, Kansas State and others. ESPN rates him the No. 21 point guard in the nation for the 2018 class.

He and Team Ramey will tip off at 6:20 Wednesday night in the Adidas Uprising Summer Championships.

All 4 Sports Dream Team center Kevin Samuel, 6-10, 220 of Houston St Thomas Episcopal will begin play in Bigfoot Thursday morning at 8. Arkansas is recruiting the big man hard.
