Report: Hogs to host Stephen F. Austin

Add a second NCAA Tournament team from Texas to Arkansas’ nonconference basketball schedule.

The Razorbacks will host Stephen F. Austin this season, according to CBS Sports. No date was announced.

SFA is the fifth nonconference team reportedly on Arkansas' schedule for the upcoming season, joining Minnesota, Houston, Texas and Oklahoma State. Of the reported games, SFA and Houston are the only two in Bud Walton Arena.

SFA upset No. 3 seed West Virginia 70-56 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament last year, then took No. 6 seed Notre Dame to the wire before losing 76-75. The Lumberjacks went 28-6 a year ago and join Texas as NCAA Tournament teams on the Hogs’ nonconference slate.

Following the season, SFA coach Brad Underwood took the Oklahoma State job. The Lumberjacks hired Kyle Keller to replace Underwood, whose Cowboys will host Arkansas on Jan. 28 as part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.

The Razorbacks are 4-0 all-time against Stephen F. Austin, with three of those wins coming in Bud Walton. The Hogs won the most recent meeting 72-69 in the 2009-10 season.

Arkansas has yet to announce its basketball schedule.
