FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas' women's basketball team will play Texas Tech in Bud Walton Arena during the 2016-17 season as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge, Razorbacks Coach Jimmy Dykes said Wednesday.

It will be the third consecutive season Arkansas has played in the Challenge, but the first time the game is in Fayetteville. Arkansas lost to Texas 61-50 in Oklahoma City last season and beat Oklahoma 71-64 in North Little Rock two seasons ago.

Dykes said other non-conference home games for Arkansas next season include Butler, South Dakota and Stetson with non-conference road games against Missouri State and Tulsa.

"Our non-conference schedule is gong to test us, but that's OK," Dykes said. "That's what I like."
