Moore gets All-America mention

— Former Arkansas golfer Taylor Moore was named on Wednesday an honorable mention All-American on Wednesday by Golfweek.

Moore, who led Arkansas with a 71.4 stroke average, shot a 2 over 287 at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., to finish tied for 26th. The senior from Edmund, Okla., helped the Razorbacks take the Day One lead in Eugene and make the 15-team cut by placing sixth after three rounds. Arkansas wound up in 12th place after four rounds.

Moore, the SEC co-freshman of the year in 2013, earned All-SEC honors for the third time this year. His career scoring average of 72.3 ranks third in Arkansas history.

Moore headed straight to the PGA Canada Mackenzie Tour and finished second in his first professional event. He is tied for fifth on the tour’s money list heading into the SIGA Dakota Dunes Open this weekend in Saskatoon, Canada.
