TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Anthlon Bell hit two free throws with 4 seconds left and Moses Kingsley scored 19 points, helping Arkansas hold on for a 62-61 win over Alabama on Wednesday night.
The Razorbacks (16-14, 9-8 Southeastern Conference) held off Alabama on three consecutive possessions in the final minute to seal their fourth win in a row. Dusty Hannahs hit one of two free throws with 18 seconds left and the Crimson Tide (17-12, 8-9) missed two shots.
Then Bell, who scored 17 points, sealed the win from the line. Alabama's Retin Obasohan drilled a last-second 3-pointer to finish with 32 points in his final regular-season home game.
Kingsley had 14 points in the second half and finished with eight rebounds and three blocked shots. Hannahs scored 10.
Shannon Hale scored 10 for Alabama, which has lost three of four to damage its once-robust NCAA Tournament hopes.
Leading by 1, Arkansas got the ball across midcourt to Hannahs, forcing Alabama to foul the 86 percent free throw shooter. But Hannahs missed his second attempt with 18 seconds left and Riley Norris cleared the rebound.
Alabama called its final timeout with 13 seconds remaining and Obasohan tried to drive by Anton Beard but his shot bounced off the glass. Michael Kessens saved the ball out to Justin Coleman, who fired up an off-balance 3-pointer from the top of the key that went off the left side of the rim.
Obasohan had to quickly foul Bell, himself an 84 percent shooter from the line.
Obasohan scored the first six points of the second half — and 11 of the Tide's initial 13 — to carry Alabama back from a seven-point deficit. He twice converted three-point plays with baskets and free throws but couldn't finish off the comeback. He was 10 of 19 shooting, making half of Alabama's 20 field goals.
SENIOR NIGHT
Obasohan came into the game averaging 20.3 points in SEC games. No Alabama player has averaged 20-plus against league opponents since Buck Johnson in 1985-86. It was also the regular-season home finale for Arthur Edwards, who was escorted by his teammates in the pre-game ceremony because his family couldn't make it from Washington, D.C.
