Scott-Efurd qualifies for Olympics

— Arkansas senior Dominique Scott-Efurd has qualified to run for her native South Africa in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janerio.

Scott-Efurd ran an Arkansas record 31:56.84 in the 10,000 meters, which surpassed the Olympic standard, at the Payton Jordan Invitational Sunday at Stanford. Her time is also the best in the NCAA this outdoor season.

Arkansas senior Jessica Kamilos ran 9:52.37 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, which is the SEC’s top time.

In men’s competition at Stanford, Arkansas senior Cale Wallace ran a personal-best 8:44.09 in the steeplechase that leads the SEC.
