FAYETTEVILLE -- Feedback from the NBA told Moses Kingsley to return to Arkansas.

Kingsley listened.

The 6-10 center announced Monday he's withdrawing his name from the NBA Draft and will return to Arkansas for his senior season.

Kingsley's announcement came after he wasn't among 64 college players invited to the NBA Scouting Combine, which begins Thursday in Chicago. He also wasn't on the list of 13 alternates for the combine.

Kingsley did work out for the Boston Celtics, an Arkansas spokesman confirmed. It was his only workout for an NBA team.

In declaring for the NBA Draft on March 12, Kingsley took advantage of a new NCAA rule that allows college players to retain their eligibility if they don't sign with an agent.

Players with remaining eligibility have until May 25 to withdraw from the draft.

"I am thankful for the opportunity to go through the draft process, but I'm excited to return to Arkansas for my senior year," Kingsley said in a statement. "I feel like I can continue to improve and put myself in a better position for the future.

"I would like to thank my teammates, coaches and family for their support and I'm looking forward to putting that Razorback jersey on for one more year."

Kingsley was a second-team All-SEC pick by coaches and members of the media as a junior this season when he averaged 15.9 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.4 blocked shots per game. He also was named to the SEC All-Defensive Team.

"Moses got the feedback he needed, and we are thrilled to have one of the best players in the SEC returning for his senior season," Arkansas Coach Mike Anderson said in a statement. "If he improves this year as much as he did last year, he has a chance to be one of the best players in the country."

Kingsley averaged 3.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 10.9 minutes as a sophomore, when he primarily was the backup to Bobby Portis, the SEC player of the year for the 2014-2015 season. Kingsley moved into a starting role this season after Portis was a first-round draft pick by the Chicago Bulls.
