— Former Arkansas assistant coach Matt Zimmerman has been reassigned as the program's director of basketball operations.

Zimmerman was replaced as a full-time assistant by Scotty Thurman last month. He replaces Jeff Daniels as the program's director of operations. Daniels was reassigned to director of student-athlete development, the title previously held by Thurman.

“This is an opportunity for us to take full advantage of the strengths we have within in our staff and restructure some duties,” Arkansas head coach Mike Anderson said in a statement. “We have talented individuals within our program and I’m looking forward to maximizing their potential moving forward.”

Zimmerman was a full-time assistant coach for Anderson for 14 seasons dating to their time at UAB. Zimmerman, T.J. Cleveland and Melvin Watkins have comprised Anderson's assistant coaching staff since the 2006-07 season at Missouri.

Daniels has been with Anderson for the past 10 years at Arkansas and Missouri.

Thurman is an assistant coach for the first time at the college level. He previously worked as a coach at Episcopal Collegiate School in Little Rock before being hired as the Razorbacks' director of student-athlete development in 2010.

Arkansas has not announced Thurman's replacement as color analyst for the team's radio broadcasts.
