Junior college D-lineman impressed with Arkansas

NWA Democrat-Gazette/ANDY SHUPE Arkansas coach Bret Bielema directs his players Thursday, March 31, 2016, during practice at the university's practice field on campus in Fayetteville.

Junior college defensive lineman Isaiah Johnson made an unofficial visit to Arkansas on Friday.

Johnson, 6-5, 300 of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M said the visit was an eye opener about what Arkansas has to offer. The impressive list of alumni that includes Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and Coach Jimmy Johnson impressed him.

He recorded 53 tackles, 3 sacks, an interception and a forced fumble this past season.

Johnson has offers from Nebraska, Miss. St., Houston, Arkansas State and others. The Hogs are showing strong interest.
