Numerous Arkansas commits in action Friday night

— Several Arkansas commits and recruiting targets will be involved in big games on Friday night.

That includes Nashville offensive lineman and Razorback pledge Kirby Adock (6-5, 300) and Nashville (11-0), who will host Pea Ridge in the second round of the playoffs.

"We've had a great season so far," Adcock said. "We plan on finishing it out good. We'll just listen to our coaches, play it out and see what happens."

A top matchup in Oklahoma will feature Jenks standout and Arkansas commit Jordon Curtis when his Trojans (11-0) meet Union (9-2) in a second-round battle.

Curtis - who rushed 10 times for 230 yards last week - has rushed for 768 yards this season with 9 TDs, has 6 catches for 97 yards and has four interceptions, three of which he has returned for touchdowns.

Union features linebacker-tight end Kyrie Fisher (6-2, 240) took an official visit to Arkansas last week.

Other Arkansas committed recruits playing Friday night:

• Arkansas cornerback commit Jarrod Barnes (5-10, 170) of Cabot (7-4) will lead his team against North Little Rock.

He has 818 yards rushing with 12 TDs, 597 yards passing and four TDs and has 124 yards receiving along with one interception that he returned 47 yards for a touchdown.

• Pulaski Robinson receiver and Arkansas commit Koilan Jackson (6-3, 210) and his team face Batesville Southside.

• Robinson has 55 catches for 1,150 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns, 322 yards rushing with 6 TDs, is 4-of-6 passing for 65 yards with three more scores and had scored on five two-point conversions.

• Arkansas defensive end commit Ryder Anderson (6-5, 230) of Katy, Texas has Cypress Ranch as his team’s foe this week.

Anderson, who got an offer from Ole Miss this week, has 14 tackles, 7 quarterback hurries and a forced fumble.

• Arkansas wide receiver pledge Maleek Barkley (6-0, 200) of Austin, Texas, Lake Travis and his team meet Smithson Valley Friday night.

Barkley has 943 yards rushing with 13 TDs and also has 23 catches 361 yards receiving.

• Razorback safety commit Derrick Munson (6-0, 200), the defensive player of the year in New Orleans last season, is having another big-time season.

He has 110 tackles this season with five tackles for lost yardage and five interception heading into Friday night’s game with John Curtis.

• Arkansas tailback pledge Chase Hayden (5-10, 180) is coming off a game last week in which he had 258 yards rushing and four touchdowns.

He has 1,613 yards rushing with 24 touchdowns this season and two more touchdowns receiving and his Collierville, Tenn., St. George’s Independent School faces Webb on Friday night.

• Arkansas tailback pledge and Punta Gorda, Fla. Charlotte star Maleek Williams (5-11, 235) and his team take on Clearwater.

Williams has 1,153 yards rushing with 21 touchdowns.

• Arkansas linebacker commit Josh Paul (6-2, 205) of News Orleans De La Salle and his team take on Lusher.

Paul has 74 tackles with a sack, five tackles for lost yardage and two forced fumbles, one of which he has taken back for a touchdown.

• Razorback defensive back pledge Korey Hernandez (5-11, 175) of Ellenwood, Ga., Cedar Grove and his squad play Jenkins.

He has 58 tackles with 25 passes broken up, four tackles for lost yardage, two forced fumbles, two interceptions and a blocked punt.

Offensively, he has 16 catches for 298 yards with two TDs and has returned four kickoffs for a whopping 328 yards with three touchdowns.
