Blake Johnson back with team after weekend away

— Arkansas sophomore punter Blake Johnson rejoined the team earlier this week after being sent home the previous weekend in what coach Bret Bielema called an "extreme timeout" after an apparent off-field incident.

"He also sent me a nice message and delivered some things maturity wise (that) if he can hold them up, could be one of the best things that's happened to him," Bielema said.

Bielema hasn't gone into details about the incident that led to him sending Johnson home, other than the Long Beach, Calif., native injured his ankle as a result. He entered the spring as the projected frontrunner for the starting punter job.

"He did a really nice job Tuesday, actually punted the ball really well," Bielema said. "Today we were inside, but he hit the ball really, really well on Tuesday.
