It looks like the Rebels are going to take Game 1 after their third and fourth home runs. Tate Blackman and Colby Bortles have each hit two-run shots off Arkansas reliever Josh Alberius, and most of the 4,169 in attendance have headed for the exits.

Ole Miss 5, Arkansas 1 - Middle 8th Inning

It's going to be a tough hill for Arkansas to climb to win tonight. Olenek scored on Tim Rowe's sacrifice fly to extend the lead to four innings. The Razorbacks have six outs to work with offensively, but will have the top of the order back up before the game's end.

Ole Miss 4, Arkansas 1 - Top 8th Inning

Blaine Knight's night is over and he is in line for his second straight loss. Colby Bortles' two-run home run to left field has extended the Rebels' lead to 4-1. Ryan Olenek followed with a single to send Knight to the bullpen after a 110-pitch outing that included seven hits and 10 strikeouts.

Josh Alberius is in to pitch for the Razorbacks.

Ole Miss 2, Arkansas 1 - End 6th Inning

Both starters have settled into a duel. James McArthur's only blemish was the Gates home run in the fifth, while Blaine Knight has retired eight consecutive batters for the Razorbacks.

The teams have combined for only five hits - four by Ole Miss - and neither has committed an error. There have been several nice defensive plays, including in the fifth when Jax Biggers made a good pick at shortstop for Arkansas and McArthur fielded a hot hit ball by Luke Bonfield to end the inning.

Ole Miss 2, Arkansas 1 - Bottom 5th Inning

The Razorbacks broke up the no-hitter in spectacular fashion. Jared Gates led off the fifth inning with a solo home run off the scoreboard structure in right-center field.

That is Gates' fourth home run of the season, but second in fourth games. He also had one last Saturday at Auburn.

Ole Miss 2, Arkansas 0 - End 4th Inning

The Razorbacks are being no-hit through four innings. James McArthur is getting several flyouts from the Arkansas hitters, including a long one from Chad Spanberger at the warning track during the fourth.

Ole Miss 2, Arkansas 0 - End 3rd Inning

Arkansas had its first base runner in the third inning when Jax Biggers walked with two outs, but the inning ended when Jake Arledge flied out to center field.

Ole Miss starter James McArthur hasn't allowed a hit through three innings. He has three strikeouts.

Ole Miss 2, Arkansas 0 - Middle 2nd Inning

The Rebels put a runner on third in the first inning but failed to score. That didn't happen in the second, however, when Nick Fortes reached on an infield single and Tim Rowe followed with a two-run home run.

Ole Miss has Blaine Knight's pitch count up to 45 already, eight of which came when Tate Blackman drew a leadoff walk.
