Lions take Jeremiah Ledbetter in sixth round

— Jeremiah Ledbetter was selected by the Detroit Lions in the sixth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday.

The 6-foot-3, 280-pound defensive end was the No. 205 overall pick in the draft and the third Arkansas player chosen, joining Deatrich Wise (Patriots) and Jeremy Sprinkle (Redskins).

Ledbetter was a two-year impact starter for the Razorbacks after transferring in from a junior college. He started 25 of 26 games and finished with 104 tackles, 15 tackles-for-loss and 7 sacks.

He played defensive end as a junior, but moved inside to defensive tackle for the first 8 games of his senior campaign before moving back outside. He participated in the East-West Shrine game.
