Arkansas freshman wins at USA meet

Arkansas diver Brooke Schultz continued her success on the boards in her freshman campaign, winning the 3-meter title Sunday at the USA Winter Diving National Championships in Greensboro, N.C., with a 15-dive score of 912.25.

The Fayetteville native led the way through the prelims on Friday with a five-dive score of 305.00.

Advancing to the afternoon semifinals, Schultz scored a 296.10 to bring her total to 601.10, good enough to lead the field heading into Sunday’s final.
