FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas guard Jailyn Mason was named the SEC women’s freshman of the week on Tuesday. It’s the second time she’s been honored this season.
Mason scored 13 of her game-high 15 points in the first quarter of the Razorbacks’ 68-50 victory at Alabama on Sunday. She also had six points in Arkansas’ loss at Texas A&M last week.
Mason is the second freshman and fourth player overall to earn an SEC weekly honor under Coach Jimmy Dykes.
