Tori Weeks wins at Vanderbilt

Arkansas sophomore Tori Weeks had a personal-best clearance in the pole vault for the second consecutive week as she went 14 feet, 6½ inches to win at the Vanderbilt Invitational on Saturday in Nashville, Tenn.

Weeks went 14-6 last week to open the indoor season with a victory at the Arkansas Invitational.

Weeks’ twin sister, Lexi, sat out the Vanderbilt Invitational to rest a sore hamstring.

Lexi Weeks, who swept the SEC and NCAA indoor and outdoor pole vault titles last year and was on the U.S. Olympic team, is expected to compete next weekend at the Razorback Invitational.

Arkansas senior Daina Harper won the 400 meters in 52.72 Saturday after winning the 200 Friday.

In men’s competition Saturday, Arkansas junior Jack Bruce won the mile in 4:00.72 and sophomore Obi Igbokwe won the 400 in 46.46.
