There's just a few more days before the contact period ends at 12:01 a.m. Sunday morning.

Sunday is a quiet day which allows face-to-face contact on the college campus. Monday is the start of the dead period that runs until Feb. 2.

Coach Bret Bielema and linebackers coach Vernon Hargreaves will make an in-home visit with cornerback commitment Jarques McClellion of Delray Beach, (Fla.) American Heritage Thursday night.

Bielema is expected to make an in-home visit with cornerback target Chevin Calloway of Dallas Bishop Dunne on Saturday.

Director of recruiting E.K. Franks is expected to visit with junior college defensive lineman Melvin Johnson, 6-5, 285 of Riverside, Calif. City College on Friday.

It appears good news might be coming for the Hogs fairly soon.

Class of 2019 offensive tackle Quinn Carroll, 6-6, 290 of Minneapolis Edina Senior said he's looking to visit Arkansas in the near future. He received an offer from offensive line coach Kurt Anderson last week and now has more than 10.

He's very aware of the success of Minnesota native and Hog center Frank Ragnow.

Arkansas 2018 guard target Courtney Ramey, 6-2, 170 pounds, of St. Louis Webster Groves had 14 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists in a 67-65 victory over Ritenour Wednesday night. He surpassed 1,000 points in his career.

Class of 2020 forward Chris Moore of West Memphis had 14 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Paragould on Friday and 13 points and 11 rebounds in a victory over Forrest City Tuesday night.
