— Coastal Carolina football coach Joe Moglia will miss the 2017 season due to an illness, according to Yahoo! Sports.

The Chanticleers are scheduled to play at Arkansas on Nov. 4 in Fayetteville. The game will serve as the Razorbacks' homecoming.

According to the report, Moglia has a bronchial asthmatic reaction to allergies. Moglia has led Coastal Carolina to four consecutive playoff appearances in the Football Championship Subdivision.

Coastal Carolina will play its first year in the Football Championship Subdivision this season. The Chanticleers will compete as a member of the Sun Belt Conference.

Offensive coordinator Jamey Chadwell will serve as Coastal Carolina's interim coach, according to the Yahoo! report.

With Moglia not coaching, Arkansas will play back-to-back games this season against teams with interim coaches. The Razorbacks are scheduled to play at Ole Miss on Oct. 28. The Rebels are being coached by offensive coordinator Matt Luke, who was promoted to interim coach when Hugh Freeze was fired last Thursday.
