Texas High WR Tevailance Hunt piling up offers

— Some 15 schools have seen enough of Texas High senior wide receiver Tevailance Hunt to offer up a scholarship.

Hunt (6-1, 180) is hoping that he did enough at Arkansas’ Elite Camp on Saturday to add the Razorbacks to that list soon.

“It would mean a lot to me,” Hunt said. “They have a great program and it would put them at the top of my list.”

Hunt had 40 catches for 705 yards and 10 touchdowns last season as a a junior and committed April 15 to Kansas, where his former teammate Quan Hampton is a 2017 signee.

He has offers from Oklahoma State, Houston, Iowa State, Memphis, Southern Miss, Tulsa, Arkansas State, Central Arkansas and others.

Hunt was in Alabama on Sunday to participate in the Crimson Tide’s camp and hopes to add another offer.

“I’m committed to Kansas, but I consider it to be an open process right now as I look at some other schools,” Hunt said. “It’s a big decision so I want to make sure I have the right school.”

He had a great time working with Arkansas wide receivers coach Michael Smith and the other Razorback coaches.

“They told me to keep working on my craft and stay humble,” Hunt said. “…It motivated me to do better.”

Hunt believes he excelled as the camp went on.

“I think I really did good in the one-on-ones,” Hunt said.
