Razorbacks to be featured at Texas Rangers game

— The Texas Rangers' July 29 game against the Baltimore Orioles will have an Arkansas theme.

The Razorbacks will be the featured team that day as part of the Rangers' promotion known as University Days. Arkansas is among 11 schools that will be featured during games at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas, this summer, and one of three from outside the state of Texas.

Oklahoma State was featured last year and Oklahoma will be featured for the first time.

According to the Rangers, the promotion will include reduced ticket prices for Arkansas graduates, a limited Texas Rangers ball cap with the Razorbacks' logo and colors, and a pregame on-field recognition including Arkansas coaches, players and notable alumni. More information can be found on the Rangers' website.

Several MLB teams host university day events, but the Rangers are believed to be the first to include Arkansas.

The Dallas-Fort Worth area is Arkansas' largest out-of-state alumni base. According to recent figures, more than 20 percent of the university's enrollment is from Texas.

The Razorbacks play an annual football game against Texas A&M each September at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, down the street from the Rangers' stadium.
