Arkansas pitchers Blaine Knight and Kevin Kopps combined to throw nine shutout innings, and the No. 16 Razorbacks beat No. 22 Texas A&M 8-0 Saturday to win the three-game series at Blue Bell Park.

Arkansas (39-15, 18-11 SEC) earned a first-round bye at next week's SEC Tournament with the win. The Razorbacks finished fourth in the regular season conference standings and second in the SEC West, behind LSU.

Knight allowed 3 hits and struck out 2 in a 6-inning start that was pushed back a day because of arm soreness. Kopps struck out 4 and allowed 2 hits in 3 innings to earn his second save.

Chad Spanberger hit solo home runs in the fifth and eighth innings, and finished the series with three home runs. Spanberger's moved into the team lead with his 14th home run, ahead of catcher Grant Koch's 13.

The Razorbacks recorded 13 hits, including 8 against Texas A&M starter Stephen Kolek, who allowed 5 runs in 4 innings.

Eric Cole and Luke Bonfield each had RBI hits in the third inning to give Arkansas the lead. Seven different Razorbacks drove in a run.

The Aggies (36-20, 16-14) used five different pitchers and all allowed at least one hit.

Arkansas will play the late game Wednesday at the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Ala., at approximately 8 p.m., against either Mississippi State or Georgia.
