Video highlights: Opposing coach believes Bentonville West receiver is the best he's seen

Bentonville West junior receiver Jadon Jackson has made a strong impression on an opposing coach.

Springdale Coach Zak Clark believes Jackson is as good of a high school receiver he’s seen.

“I didn’t really see Damain Williams much in high school, but that kid is the best I’ve seen,” Clark said. “Racking my brain, Damian is the only guy who I could even compare him to.”

He has 56 receptions for 1,172 yards and 14 touchdowns heading into the playoffs. Jackson recorded 59 catches for 916 yards and 9 touchdowns last year.

Jackson, 6-1, 180, has offers from Arkansas, Arizona State, Memphis, Missouri and Tulsa along with interest from Alabama, Notre Dame, Penn State and others.

Bentonville West Coach Bryan Pratt said Jackson does everything asked of him.

“He’s really bought in what we do and plays hard for us, whether it’s on defense or offense or asking him to go in the backfield and throw the ball on a trick play,” Pratt said. “He always seems to come through for us.”

Jackson has visited Oklahoma and Arkansas this season.

“Notre Dame is trying to get him to come to a game,” Pratt said. “It’s really hard to fit into our schedule with all we have going on.”

He had 5 receptions for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns, a 48-yard pass for a score and a carry for 8 yards against Bentonville last week.
