Nike unveils black Arkansas basketball jersey for PK80

Arkansas will wear black jerseys at the PK80 event in Portland, Ore.

— Arkansas will wear a custom black basketball jersey for its games at the Phil Knight 80 Invitational in Portland, Ore., next week.

Nike unveiled special jerseys for each of the 16 teams participating in the event. Arkansas begins play next Thursday with a 4 p.m. game against Oklahoma that will be televised by ESPN2.

According to Nike, the black is an homage to Phil Knight, the company's founder who is known to wear all-black outfits. The red zig-zag pattern on the shorts is pulled from the Razorbacks' logo that will be featured on the chest.

All 16 teams participating in the event have apparel contracts with Nike.
