Jackson's finale gets high grade

Arkansas defensive lineman Bijhon Jackson (78) rushes Missouri quarterback Drew Lock (3) during a game Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE -- Arkansas Razorbacks nose guard Bijhon Jackson's big day Friday did not peak with his pregame marriage proposal to girlfriend Brianna Biehl, which she accepted.

Jackson, a senior from El Dorado, went on to have one of the better games of his career, with three tackles, including one for lost yardage, and a quarterback hurry. His performance was given a 90.0 grade by Pro Football Focus, the highest grade among all SEC defensive players during rivalry week.

He was joined on PFF's SEC team of the week by Arkansas teammates David Williams and Hjalte Froholdt.

Williams, a senior from Philadelphia, scored three touchdowns in the Razorbacks' 48-45 loss to Missouri. Williams rushed for 75 yards and 2 touchdowns of 16 and 22 yards, and he averaged 6.8 yards per carry. He also caught two passes for 38 yards, including a 24-yard touchdown on a screen pass that gave Arkansas a 42-38 lead with 10:42 left in the game.

Froholdt, a junior from Svendborg, Denmark, graded at 86.1 percent, the highest among SEC offensive linemen last week. Froholdt, who has been battling through an ankle injury, was forced from the game in the fourth quarter after the injury flared up.

K-Rich bowling

Senior defensive back Kevin Richardson has been invited to the NFL Players Association Collegiate Bowl, which will be played Jan. 20 at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles.

Richardson posted a photo of his invitation to his Twitter account, writing "Blessed to receive an invitation to the NFLPABowl game! Never thought a walk-on could make it this far, God continues to bless me."

Richardson, a 5-11, 185-pounder from Jacksonville, tied for fourth on the team with 50 tackles with fellow senior defensive back Josh Liddell. Richardson also had four pass breakups, a 22-yard fumble return for a touchdown in the Hogs' 38-37 victory at Ole Miss and tied for the team lead with 3 interceptions.

SEC honor

Arkansas center Frank Ragnow was named to the SEC's Community Service Team this week. Ragnow, a senior from Victoria, Minn., was a preseason All-American after deciding to return to Arkansas after receiving the highest grade among college linemen by Pro Football Focus for his work in 2016.

Ragnow is an offensive captain who will graduate in December.

On hold

Receiver Jared Cornelius is just as eager as University of Arkansas, Fayetteville fans to find out who the team's next coach will be.

Earlier this week, Cornelius posted on his Twitter account, "Waiting to see who will lead this team and offense before I make any decisions pertaining to my football career."

He followed that shortly with a post, "Excited to graduate in a couple of weeks though," followed by a nerdy emoticon.

Cornelius, a senior from Shreveport, was the Razorbacks' leading returning receiver before suffering a torn Achilles tendon on the first play of the second half in a 50-43 overtime loss to Texas A&M. He finished with five catches for 43 yards and a touchdown.

Top tacklers

Sophomore linebacker De'Jon Harris finished second in the SEC in tackles with 115, behind only LSU linebacker Devin White (126).

Junior linebacker Dre Greenlaw came in fifth with 103 tackles.

Harris averaged 9.6 tackles per game, while Greenlaw averaged 8.6.

Bielema update

Former Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema changed the background on his Twitter account to a photo of his 4-month-old daughter Briella. The inset shot is a picture of his wife Jen holding Briella while on the field at Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

Bielema posted a message on his account: "Fresh profile pictures for the next step.Thank you #Arkansas for a great run will always Call the Hogs with great memories! #WoooPig."
