Thoughts on last week’s 49-7 win over Florida A&M ….

GentryRzrbk: O-line is going to limit our success this year.

GeauxHogs: I expect more from our five-year QB.

Swine Fusion: Austin Allen was 9 for 13 in the first half, three drops and one intercepted. The pick was not a good play, but the other three should have been caught.

youdaman: I thought the OL played fantastic … except a few misses early. I love how we dominated inside and kudos to our fullbacks because they trapped and filled beautifully. Will be extremely excited if we an do the same to TCU.

GentryRzbk: Youdaman, you know the OL and you are hard to please. To see you making these statements about our O-line makes me feel good. It tells me we are moving in the right direction.

LRVHog: (La’Michael) Pettway looks really physical blocking on the perimeter. Heir apparent to (Keon) Hatcher.

Geneswife: Where is the running game in our offensive line?

Bigcat123: I saw a lot that makes me worry for the season. OL and (Austin Allen) looked pedestrian. First team D had glimpses. We have a long ways to go before next week.

Thoughts on the performance of senior quarterback Austin Allen …

Budfromlr: Some are thinking “What’s up with Austin?” A couple of things. First time he has had contact since the bowl game. It takes a while to adjust to being hit again. New receivers … have to gain confidence with them. Pass blocking is still suspect.

eaglehog5: And still holding the ball too long.

Swine Fusion: The receivers aren’t getting separation. He better hang on to it for a while.

niels_boar: Whatever the reason, Allen still getting hit a lot, against FAMU no less, is the chief concern coming out of this game.

Fatback: He missed some open receivers and held the ball too long even on some completions. He looked like the AA after the Auburn game (last year). Hope he reverts to the confident AA in the first half of 2016 by the next game.

Army Hog: Austin Allen will be fine. The receivers need to watch the tape of this game and adjust where they can get open.

Regarding game-day superstitions …

JPRoland: I was so glad to see Coach Bielema go against his superstitions and get rid of that non-porous, sweat-producing windbreaker and wear something different. … He is superstitious. I get that. I am very superstitious. I buy a new T-shirt at the beginning of each season unless we won the last game of the previous season. In that case, I have to wear the shirt from the last game. I always wear the same T-shirt and sit on the same spot on the coach until we lose. Then I have to buy a new shirt at Hogman’s Hogpen where they know me by name and know when I’m coming. Needless to say, I have an incredible collection of Razorback t-shirts that started well before John L. Smith nearly broke me.

MountainHawg: I am superstitious, but I don’t necessarily have any rituals. I’ve just become very cognizant that the Hogs win every game I don’t watch live. This doesn’t mean, however, that they lose every game I do watch live. I want to watch all of the games, but I do want to win a national championship.

Bakedhog19741: I have the same issues. I have to eat the same thing, wear the same thing, sit in the same place and since ’07 talk on the game thread during the game. I also record the game, whether I’m actually watching or not. If we win, I’ll watch it again the next day. If we lose, I delete it and make sure the next game I do everything the same. By the way, my birthday is in November, if we have a game in either basketball or football at Fayetteville, we win.

Reactions to a multi-million improvement to Wi-Fi reception at Reynolds Razorback Stadium …

Piggybacker: Why do we need top-notch Wi-Fi at RRS? I’m there to watch a game and maybe listen to the radio broadcast. Can’t we put that money to better use?

Matt Jones: You are not the fan the university is trying to attract to the games. You’ll come to the games for the product on the field. Many want amenities to supplement the on-field experience.

Lone Star Hog: I have tried to come to (wholehogsports.com) for info during games on my iPhone for injuries, penalty explanations, player info, etc. and get very frustrated with the service in the stadium. Also, it’s nice to check scores of other games. I think it’s a great investment. And, yes, I do watch the product on the field.

Neastarkie: Bingo. There are many good reasons to have Wi-Fi at RRS. You hit on a very good one.

Hog2009: To check your fantasy team during timeouts.

Hogmodo: No matter what is happening on the field, if the camera scans a close view of the student section, the majority of the students are looking at their phones. They are trying to attract and keep a whole different group of fans than the majority on this board.

Score predictions for Saturday’s game against TCU …

Donwells: Hogs 38, Bad Guys 31.

GentryRazrbk: Hogs 55, Frogs 49.

Arlingtonhog: Hogs 38, Frogs 35.

jjhog18: 31-23 Hogs. I think our run game goes wild on them with the true freshman over 150 yards on the ground.

WizardofhOgZ: TCU 38, Hogs 27. Too much TCU speed and some talented but inexperienced CB’s will be our downfall in this one.

SoArkHog: Hogs 35, Frogs 34. The run game will control the clock. Having Jared Cornelius back will help AA’s confidence in the passing game and the Horned Frogs will have a field goal blocked on the final play by the spirit of Dan Skipper to give the Hogs a truly miraculous win. Ha! (I do believe the run game will help control the clock and AA’s passing attack will have better timing.)

Georgia Hawg: Have to love the home- field advantage in this one. We are out to prove something on national TV. Go up 24-17 at the half and add to the lead in the second half. Hogs 38, TCU 17.

Boarbarian: I’m not confident. Waiting to see and hoping for an Arkansas victory. This game and the Texas A&M game I think are the keys to the season.

Superhawgfan: I like the Hogs in this one. Hogs 38, Frogs 27. Devwah Whaley plays like a top 3 SEC back with a chance of pace and good runs from Hayden and Williams.

Hogbacker: Hogs 28, TCU 24. Running game and QB sacks by our improved defense will be the difference.

eaglehog5: I’m skeered of fast frogs. Much scarier than rattlesnakes. The loss of Pulley and a good dual-threat QB just too much for us. Frogs 43, Hogs 28.

SwineIzFine: 41-31 Frogs. Still not sold on the OL. Prove me wrong, Hogs!

Brianatkinson: Swing game for the Hogs, need this one for a bowl. Love the optimism on the board, but I don’t share it. Frogs 31, Hogs 27. Too much speed and they manhandle us on the lines.

Hog-N-Das: Point spread opened Arkansas -1. I believe it has moved to TCU – 3, which sounds about right. Frogs 31, Hogs 28.

Cnote1296: Hogs 35, TCU 31.

Hogdr: TCU 42, Hogs 31. Too much speed on offense this year for TCU against our new 3-4. I don’t like having to break in a new CB against the spread. We can win this game if we control the clock with our run game, abuse the A gap against their defense. But I’m not sold on our O-line yet.

Lilhawg: I don’t feel good about this one. They have a senior-laden team with a QB that has given us fits. Frogs 31, Hogs 28. Plus, their quickness and speed concerns me greatly.
