— North Little Rock sophomore Moses Moody may be a soft-spoken young man, but his basketball ability speaks loudly for him.

Moody (6-5, 170 pounds), who received an Arkansas offer on Aug. 27 when he visited Fayetteville, was one of the stars Saturday at the third annual Arkansas Athletes Outreach Basketball Combine.

“I really love getting out here and going against great competition,” said Moody, who was selected to the top 20 all-star game at the event. “It’s been a fun day.”

Moody has offers from Arkansas and Oklahoma, as well as interest from Baylor, UCLA and others.

“I don’t really worry about recruiting,” Moody said. “My dad handles all that for me so I don’t really know who all is are recruiting me.”

Moody, who played his freshman season for Little Rock Parkview, visited Arkansas with his family and left impressed.

“I had a a great time talking with the coaches and looking at the facilities and every thing up there,” Moody said. “It’s a great place and they have some great players.”

Moody played his spring and summer basketball with Team Superstar South.

“We had a great team and we really did a great job of sharing the ball,” Moody said. “I think we all got better playing together and I look forward to playing with them again next year.”

Moody is happy to be joining North Little Rock’s program.

“Parkview is a great program and so is North Little Rock,” Moody said. “I’m excited about the players we have and the head coach (Johnny Rice) works a lot with me to help me get better.”
