FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas pitcher Isaiah Campbell will return to the starting lineup Sunday against Auburn.
Campbell hasn't pitched since March 24 at Florida when he allowed 6 runs - 5 earned - on 4 hits and 4 walks in a 3-out start. He missed Arkansas' series at Ole Miss last week because of elbow inflammation that was discovered the day following his last start.
The redshirt sophomore threw a bullpen earlier this week.
"It went real good," Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn said. "He was fine."
Campbell will be on a limited pitch count Sunday, but Van Horn didn't specify what number that would be. The right-hander enters the game 2-3 with a 3.33 ERA and has struggled with losses in three of his past four starts.
"We have all the confidence in the world in him," said Kacey Murphy, a left-handed pitcher who earned the win Saturday. "He's been working his butt off, day-in and day-out since he's been here off the trips. He's going to be just fine and we trust him."
Auburn will start freshman right-hander Tanner Burns (2-4, 2.43 ERA).
The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and will be televised by the SEC Network.
