Everything Chad Morris said recapping Arkansas' spring football practices:

Chad Morris

-Morris opens up by touching on the incident with football players at the KA fraternity house. "A review is underway. We're investigating it. I'm limited on the details I can share with you. ... We have high expectations for our players, our student-athletes on and off the field."

-Morris said exit interviews will begin soon. He's excited about how those will go, then he'll look toward working on a depth chart.

-Both quarterbacks (Cole Kelley, Ty Storey) have their strengths. Each one has a good knowledge of the game, but one thing both have to work on is the speed of the game. Something he's pleased with is that "there is a good competition going on." Morris said he will also wait and see as far as transfer quarterbacks.

-A couple of guys did not practice today following the incident at the fraternity house, Morris said.

-Randy Ramsey was a very good surprise transitioning back into the 4-down front, Morris said. Dre Greenlaw and Scoota Harris as well. The linebacker group has been solid, he said. Ryan Pulley had a good spring, too."

-Morris said he believes there will be some attrition after exit interviews. There usually is, he said. That means recruiting. Overall, team speed is another area he and his staff want to address. Offensive and defensive line was mentioned.

-Morris said the SEC West is the toughest league in the country. His concern is Arkansas. "I know you all think it's coach-speak, but it's true. We have to keep the Arkansas Razorbacks from beating the Arkansas Razorbacks. ... We've got to have a great summer."

-Morris said he feels solid with Santos Ramirez and Kam Curl at safety. Micahh Smith has done some good things, and he is also looking at Myles Mason making an impact at the position as well.

-Grant Morgan has a chance to be a really good player. Hayden Henry has done a good job, and he's a guy who played well in the spring game. Bumper Pool was sick for a week, week and a half during spring ball.

-Morris said every job is wide open, and true freshmen will have the chance to battle for starting jobs. First player Morris mentioned was Mike Woods, who, from what we've learned in post-practice interviews throughout the spring, has made a lot of big plays. He's one to watch.

-Before the start of spring, Morris selected captains. Later, he'll come back and select a leadership group. Each week different players will go out for the coin toss. Morris said he will select team captains late in the year, and there will be "shrines" for them in the facility to recognize them. "That's a big deal. What I like to do is see who takes ownership." There will be 4-5 guys who will make up the player leadership committee.
