— Arkansas coach Chad Morris had three of his former SMU players drafted this weekend.

Receiver Courtland Sutton was taken in the second round by the Denver Broncos on Friday, and receiver Trey Quinn and defensive end Justin Lawler were drafted in the seventh round Saturday by the Washington Redskins and Los Angeles Rams, respectively. Quinn was the final pick of the draft, which is jokingly referred to as "Mr. Irrelevant."

Sutton was the centerpiece of Morris' offensive scheme at SMU, catching 193 passes for 3,193 yards and 31 touchdowns over his final three seasons. He was the third receiver taken in the draft.

"We had a 1st-round grade on SMU WR Courtland Sutton and we're excited to select him at No. 40," Broncos general manager John Elway tweeted. "He has tremendous upside as a player and on top of that is a great person."

SMU had not had any players drafted since 2014.
