Deifel adds former White Hall standout to roster

White Hall starting pitcher Lauren Graves celebrates the final out of the second inning against Vilonia on Friday, May 23, 2014, during the Class 5A state championship softball game at Bogle Park in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas softball coach Courtney Deifel has added another Arkansas native to her roster.

Lauren Graves, a rising junior, joins the Razorbacks program after spending her first two collegiate seasons at Maryland. Graves made 27 appearances and seven starts in the circle while with the Terrapins.

Graves is a former White Hall High School standout and, in 2014, led the program to a Class 5A state championship. She was also a three-time All-State selection and earned all-conference honors four times.

Braxton Burnside, a Paragould, Ark., native, also transferred to Arkansas this summer after two seasons at Missouri.
