— Arkansas will host Austin Peay for a basketball game in December.

The game is scheduled to be played Friday, Dec. 28 at Bud Walton Arena, according to the Governors' schedule that was released Tuesday. Time and TV details were not available.

Austin Peay is the 10th known non-conference opponent for Arkansas in the coming season. The Razorbacks have not released their non-conference schedule, but opponents have become known through other schedule releases.

Arkansas also is scheduled to play Texas, California-Davis, Indiana, Montana State, Texas-Arlington, Colorado State, Texas State, Western Kentucky and Texas Tech in non-conference play. The Razorbacks are expected to have 13 non-conference games.

Austin Peay was 19-15 overall and 12-6 in Ohio Valley Conference games last season. The Governors defeated Louisiana-Monroe in the first round and lost to Illinois-Chicago in the second round of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament in March.

Austin Peay must replace two double-digit scorers from a year ago, but returns sophomore guard Terry Taylor, who averaged 15.6 points and 8.6 rebounds last season when he was named OVC freshman of the year.

The Governors are coached by Matt Figger, a second-year coach who previously was an assistant coach under Frank Martin at South Carolina. Figger, who also coached under John Pelphrey at South Alabama, was hired as Arkansas' director of basketball operations in April 2007, but left two months later to accept a full-time coaching role under Martin at Kansas State.

Arkansas is 3-0 all-time against Austin Peay. The Razorbacks defeated the Governors 99-62 on Dec. 3, 2016, in the most recent meeting.
