— Two former Arkansas football players have accepted invitations to play in the eighth NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

Offensive lineman Hjalte Froholdt and defensive end Randy Ramsey are slated to play in the game on Jan. 19, 2019, at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. Froholdt did not allow a sack and was a second-team All-SEC pick by The Associated Press this season, while Ramsey finished the season with 32 tackles and three sacks after missing the first two games with an injury.

The Collegiate Bowl annually draws scouts - including some head coaches and general managers - from all 32 NFL teams. Former NFL head coaches Mike Tice and Chuck Pagano will serve as head coaches for the 2019 game, and assistant coaches will include former NFL players Jackie Slater, Darrell Green, Ed Reed, Plaxico Burress, Andre Johnson, Gus Frerotte, Clinton Portis and Bryan Cox, among others.

Former Arkansas quarterback Austin Allen and running back David Williams were statistical leaders for last year's Collegiate Bowl.

No broadcast plans have been announced for the 2019 Collegiate Bowl.

Two other former Hogs, defensive lineman Armon Watts and Brian Wallace, have accepted invitations to play in the East-West Shrine Game on Jan. 19. That game will be televised by NFL Network beginning at 2 p.m.
