Boyd, Watts to be honored by LR Touchdown Club

Arkansas running back Rakeem Boyd and defensive lineman Armon Watts will be honored at the Little Rock Touchdown Club Awards Banquet on Thursday, Jan. 10.

Boyd is the inaugural winner of the 2018 Darren McFadden Award, presented to the top college running back in Arkansas. The winner was chosen by McFadden. Boyd led the Razorbacks with 734 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns this fall.

Watts is the winner of the 2018 Dan Hampton Award, which is given to the top college defensive lineman in Arkansas as selected by Hampton. Watts, also the winner of the Paul Eells Award for character and perseverance, finished with seven sacks in his senior season.

Joe T. Robinson defensive lineman Zach Williams, a member of Arkansas' 2019 recruiting class, was chosen as the top high school defensive lineman in the state.

Three Razorbacks signees – Justice Hill (5A), Zach Williams (4A), Malik Chavis (3A) - across two sports were named Player of the Year in their respective classifications as well.

Former Heisman Trophy winner and Super Bowl MVP Desmond Howard will be the guest speaker.
