Thursday recruiting tidbits

Arkansas Coach Chad Morris will see a defensive target on Thursday morning.

Morris and defensive ends coach John Scott Jr. are expected to visit with defensive end Caleb Okechukwu, 6-4, 240 pounds, 4.79 seconds in the 40-yard dash, of Washington, D.C., St. John's College this morning. He's expected to officially visit the Hogs this weekend.

Morris, Scott and offensive line coach Dustin Fry made an in-home visit with offensive line commitment Ryan Winkel on Wednesday night.

Winkel, 6-6, 280 pounds, of Christian Brothers High School in Memphis picked the Razorbacks over scholarship offers from Mississippi State, Tennessee, Nebraska, Northwestern, Virginia, Central Florida and others on Monday.

Cornerbacks coach Mark Smith visited safety commitment Myles Mason on Wednesday.

Mason, 6-2, 205 of Trussville, Ala., Hewitt Trussville chose the Razorbacks over scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Louisville, Tennessee and Notre Dame.

2019 TCU cornerback commitment William Jones, 5-10, 170 of Arlington, (Texas) Mansfield Summit said he recently spoke with Smith.

Smith also spoke with 2020 safety Darius Snow, 6-2, 210 of Carrollton, (Texas) Hebron on Wednesday. The Hogs offered him on Tuesday to go along with others from Texas, Baylor, Michigan State and others.

Tight ends Coach Barry Lunney Jr. spoke two junior targets in Oklahoma on Wednesday evening. Defensive end Collin Clay, 6-5, 235 of Putnam City High School in Oklahoma City and running back Marcus Major, 6-0, 181 of Oklahoma City Millwood have offers from the Hogs and plan to visit Fayetteville on Feb. 24.

Lunney also talked to Pulaski Academy junior tight end Hudson Henry, 6-5, 230 on Wednesday night. He plans to visit the Hogs on Feb. 24.

Camden Fairview junior offensive lineman Stacey Wilkins, 6-7, 270 received his 16th offer from Kansas on Wednesday night.

Junior safety Jared Hopper, 6-0, 182 of Mansfield Legacy High School in Texas plans to visit Arkansas on Feb. 24. He has an offer from Colorado. He spoke with cornerbacks coach Mark Smith this week.

Sophomore cornerback Myles Slusher, 5-11, 170 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma plans to visit Arkansas in February. He has offers from Baylor and Oklahoma State.

Warren junior receiver Treylon Burks had his 9th double-double out of 12 games in the Lumberjacks’ 75-62 victory over Crossett on Tuesday night. He recorded 10 points and 16 rebounds while having 5 blocks.
