Arkansas 72, Vanderbilt 54 - Final

Arkansas closed out a big week with a rout of Vanderbilt, who shot 25 percent from the floor.

Arkansas' trio of Daryl Macon, Jaylen Barford and Daniel Gafford combined for 53 points in the win, and Jonathan Holmes capped the week with a driving layup that sent the arena - and Arkansas' bench - into a frenzy.

Vanderbilt did not have a player finish in double figures. Four players had eight to lead the way.

Arkansas 65, Vanderbilt 46 - 3:30 left

The Razorbacks are in cruise control now. Anton Beard got a deep left wing 3 to fall to give Arkansas its largest lead of the night.

Daryl Macon hit a transition 3 to put him over the 20-point mark for the seventh straight game. He exited with a game-high 21 points. Jaylen Barford's night is done as well. He added 16 points on 4 of 6 from deep.

Arkansas 53, Vanderbilt 38 - 7:40 left

The seldom-used pick-and-roll with Daryl Macon and Daniel Gafford worked to perfection just before the break. Macon hit Gafford for an easy oop and the Hogs have essentially put this one to bed.

Gafford has 12 and 6 tonight, and has quietly put together three straight double-figure outings. Barford and Macon have combined for 31 points as well. Macon needs five points to extend his streak of 20-point games to seven.

Arkansas 45, Vanderbilt 31 - 11:55 left

Jaylen Barford is nearly automatic from 3. He knocked down his third and fourth triples of the night in a quick 6-0 Arkansas run to put the Hogs up 14.

Vanderbilt hasn't gotten anything going offensively in this one. The 'Dores are 3 of 11 from the floor since the half, and shooting just 18.4 percent for the game. Jeff Roberson is 0 of 8 tonight.

Arkansas 37, Vanderbilt 26 - 15:44 left

Daniel Gafford has opened the second half very strong, scoring four points and pulling down three rebounds to go with a block. He's now Arkansas' first double figure scorer with 10.

Vanderbilt's shooting issues have carried over into the second half a bit. The 'Dores are 2 of 6 from the floor. Coach Bryce Drew also got a tech for reacting wildly to Gafford's block.

Arkansas 28, Vanderbilt 21 - Half

The Razorbacks held Vanderbilt to 4 of 26 from the floor in the first half and 1 of 14 from 3, but lead by only seven behind 10 turnovers and a 12 of 12 effort from the Commodores at the free throw line.

Jaylen Barford leads Arkansas with eight points while Daryl Macon and Daniel Gafford each have six. No other Razorback has more than two points.

Vanderbilt leading scorer Jeff Roberson has been a nonfactor, missing on all five of his looks while also dealing with foul trouble. Maxwell Evans leads the 'Dores with eight points.

Arkansas 26, Vanderbilt 15 - 2:58 left first half

C.J. Jones' pull-up jumper has pushed Arkansas' lead to double digits. The development of his midrange game has been good to see considering his 3-point shot still isn't where you'd like.

Arkansas is on a 19-2 run and controlling things. Vanderbilt, fourth in the SEC in offensive efficiency this season, has missed on its last 11 shots and doesn't have a made field goal in nearly 10 minutes.

Arkansas 18, Vanderbilt 13 - 6:56 left first half

Arkansas went on an 11-0 run over a three-minute span to take its largest lead of the night. Jaylen Barford is 2 of 3 from deep, and continues to be this team's top 3-point shooter. It almost feels automatic when he lets it fly.

Meanwhile, Vanderbilt is 1 of 9 from 3 to open the night and shooting just 19 percent as a team.

Vanderbilt 9, Arkansas 7 - 11:09 left first half

The teams are shooting a combined 30 percent from the floor through 8+ minutes and Riley LaChance leads all scorers with five on 2 of 6 from the floor. Daniel Gafford leads Arkansas with four.

Arkansas has already turned the ball over eight times. Dustin Thomas entered the game at the 12:40 mark after drawing a DNP against South Carolina on Tuesday. He made a great pass and found C.J. Jones open for a corner 3. Jones missed, but like that he had his head up aware of open shooters.

Vanderbilt 4, Arkansas 2 - 16:00 left first half

The Razorbacks started this one as sloppily as they have any game this season, turning the ball over on their first five possessions before Daniel Gafford got a layup to drop on a Daryl Macon feed.

Arlando Cook got the start tonight but he contributed two of the five early miscues and was sent to the bench just more than two minutes in.

The Commodores' leading scorer, Jeff Roberson, was whistled for his second foul just before the break. That's a huge blow for Bryce Drew. Roberson is averaging 18 and 6.5 in SEC play.

Pregame

Arlando Cook is back in the lineup tonight alongside Daryl Macon, Jaylen Barford, Anton Beard and Daniel Gafford. This is Cook's second start of the season and second in Arkansas' last four games.
