Arkansas second baseman Carson Shaddy has been named SEC Player of the Week following a big weekend in the Razorbacks' season-opening sweep of Bucknell.

Shaddy hit a pair of home runs and recorded a league-best nine RBIs in the three-game set. His four RBIs on Friday are the most by a Razorback on Opening Day since 2005.

The redshirt senior had a slugging percentage of 1.571, recorded four hits in seven official at-bats and reached base in 9 of 12 plate appearances. Shaddy capped his stellar weekend with a two-out RBI single in the second inning to kickstart Sunday's comeback win over the Bison.

Arkansas hits the road this week for four games in San Diego. Arkansas faces Arizona on Wednesday at 9 p.m. before taking on Cal Poly, San Diego State and San Diego this weekend in the Tony Gwynn Classic.
