Arkansas' rally falls short at Georgia

Georgia never trailed and beat Arkansas 78-65 on Thursday at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga.

The Razorbacks trailed by as many as 18 points in the first half, but cut the lead to one point on two occasions in the fourth quarter, but the Bulldogs finished the game on a 17-5 run to pull away.

The Bulldogs (15-2, 3-1 SEC) were led by 21 points apiece from Caliya Robinson and Mackenzie Engram. Robinson also added 12 rebounds.

Georgia held Arkansas to only seven points in the first quarter, but the Razorbacks cut the lead to 31-25 by halftime to 54-49 by the end of the third quarter.

Arkansas pulled within 59-58 on Bailey Zimmerman's 3-pointer with 6:47 remaining and within 61-60 on a jumper by Malica Monk with 5:27 to play.

Monk's 16 points led the Razorbacks (10-7, 1-3). Jailyn Mason added 15 points and Zimmerman had 11.

Arkansas is scheduled to play again at Auburn on Sunday at 4 p.m.
