Arkansas gymnastics moves into top 10

Arkansas' Sydney McGlone celebrates Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, as she competes in the vault portion of the 11th-ranked Razorbacks' meet with sixth-ranked Kentucky in Barnhill Arena in Fayetteville.

The Arkansas gymnastics team moved up one spot to No. 10 in the RoadtoNationals.com weekly rankings Monday after posting a 196.525, the third-highest home-opening score in school history, in a loss to Kentucky on Friday.

The Razorbacks (0-2 overall, 0-2 SEC) travel to No. 24 Missouri on Friday. Arkansas ranks No. 4 on the balance beam (49.2 average) and No. 8 on the vault (49.05).

SEC teams comprise half of the top 10 with No. 1 LSU; Florida and Kentucky, which are both No. 5; and No. 9 Alabama joining the Razorbacks in the rankings, which are based now on average scores.
