— One of the Razorbacks’ more recent football commits now has some more options.

New Orleans, La., Sophie B. Wright linebacker Andrew Parker (6-2, 225), who pledged to Arkansas after his official visit ended last Sunday, has gotten offers from Texas A&M and Texas this week.

The Razorbacks, who are hosting two official visitors this weekend, offered Parker on Jan. 12 while the Aggies did so this past Monday and the Longhorns jumped in with one on Friday.

“It feels great,” Parker said. “I always believed I was the best linebacker in the state because I know the work I put in. It’s a blessing by God to even be recruited.”

Parker had 107 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 3 forced fumbles and 1 recovered fumble while rushing for 275 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries as a senior.

He is not visiting anywhere this weekend, but is contemplating going to both Texas and Texas A&M.

“As of right now, I am still committed,” Parker said.” It’s likely I visit both. But Arkansas was the first one to offer me and believe in me and that means a lot.”

Arkansas has 13 early signees or commits after adding four last weekend is hosting a pair of prospects this weekend.

The Razorbacks are hosting Conway, S.C., linebacker Jaylen Moody (6-2, 225) and Memphis, Tenn., Christian Brothers offensive lineman Ryan Winkle (6-8, 280), both of whom arrived Friday afternoon.
