Arkansas OL/DL padded camp updates

NWA Democrat-Gazette/ANDY SHUPE Arkansas coach Chad Morris speaks with players Wednesday, March 28, 2018, during practice at the university's practice facility on campus in Fayetteville. Visit nwadg.com/photos to see more photographs from the day's practice.

— Arkansas' OL/DL padded camp this morning is expected to see about 110 prospects participate.

Highly recruited 2020 DE Prince Dorbah, 6-4, 210 of Highland Park in Dallas, is expected to be at the camp. He has offers from Arkansas, Texas, Alabama and others.

Searcy offensive lineman Drew Vest, 6-4, 290 and Shiloh Christian offensive lineman Logan Kallasen, 6-4, 285 pounds, are expected to take part.

Vest has offers from Lamar, UCA, South Alabama, Yale, UAPB and others while Kallasen has offers from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Harding along with interest from Utah, Tulsa, Arkansas State, Tennessee-Martin, UCA and others.

He received a preferred walk-on offer after attending the Razorback Night Camp on June 3.

The camp is expected to start shortly after 9 am.

9:02 update

2019 OL Rex Martin, 6-6, 290 of Katy (Texas) Tompkins is here. Nice frame that could easily add 30-40 pounds. No offers at this point.

The No. 2 snapper in the nation, Gabriel Pugh of Tuscaloosa, Ala., is here.

9:59 update

2020 OL Jason Eaton, 6-6, 330 of Clarksville, Tenn., is expected to be camping today. He has offers from LSU, South Carolina, Indiana and others.

As noted above, Dorbah is at the camp, which is impressive because he already has an Arkansas offer. He plays basketball so his offseason time in the weight room is very limited.

11:07 update

OL Drew Vest is having a real good camp during 1-on-1s, he won the first rep vs. 2020 DE Prince Dorbah. Vest has several mid-major offers. He’s my early camp MVP (RD).

OL Logan Kallasen plays with very good leverage. There’s a reason why he has a preferred walkon offer.

2020 Dalton Perdue, 6-6, 320 of El Dorado is one Coach Scott Reed is very high on. He just turn 16.

NLR junior OL Devin Pitts, 6-3. 285 has looked good. Indiana and Arkansas are some interested.

11:30 update

Highly regarded 2020 WR Collin Sullivan of Round Rock, Texas has Arkansas, Texas,Oregon, Baylor and other offers. He’s visiting with his mother Nikki.

12:16 update

2020 OL Robert Scott, 6-6, 278 of Conway has had his moments. Very long and lanky for an OL.

1:18 update

Searcy OL Drew Vest was hands down the most impressive camper today. He and offensive line coach Dustin Fry had a long talk after camp. Vest said Fry wants to see a few early games and go from there. There's no doubt Vest helped himself today and has a legitimate shot of earning an offer with strong play this fall.

He had a 1-on-1 vs 2020 DE Prince Dorbah, 6-4, 210 of Highland Park in Dallas and easily won the rep by showing good strength but most importantly very good feet.

Dorbah had a good visit. Enjoyed the coaches and the players and liked the facilities. He said former Highland Park QB John Stephen Jones is talking up Arkansas to him. He plans to make other visits to Fayetteville.
