Robinson's Williams finally enjoys a sunny day in Fayetteville

Mena quarterback Carson Cannon is sacked by Robinson defender Zach Williams during a game Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, in Little Rock.

— Joe T. Robinson defensive end/linebacker Zach Williams has been on the campus of the University of Arkansas numerous times, but the weather was never as nice as it was on Saturday.

Williams (6-4, 220 pounds) made the trip with his father, Rickey, a former Razorbacks and All-Southwest Conference linebacker. They visited with Arkansas head coach Chad Morris and assistants Barry Lunney and Steve Caldwell.

"Every time we've been up there, we couldn't really see the campus because there was a game or bad weather,” Zach Williams said. “So today they just took us around and saw the campus. I got to take pictures with the equipment on, and then we just had lunch with Coach Morris, Coach Barry and Coach Caldwell."

Williams has been inundated with offers after a junior season in which he had 70 tackles, 11 sacks and 30 tackles for lost yardage.

The Razorbacks are atop a list of offers that also includes Alabama, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Baylor, California, TCU, Purdue, Memphis, Louisiana Tech, Yale and Tulane.

"Teams at the top like Arkansas, Texas, Florida and some other schools,” Williams said. “I wouldn't say they're in order, but they're up there and some other schools are up there.”

The Williams family has made many visits during the past several months.

“We’ve just been trying to see as many places we have and make an informed decision,” Williams said. “I’ve been very blessed to have so many options.”

Williams knows of at least one other visit this spring and summer.

"I know I'm going to Auburn, but I really don't even know the other ones yet,” Williams said. “My dad said we'll visit some schools after school is over."
