— Arkansas and Ole Miss will share the Southeastern Conference Western Division championship in 2018.

The Rebels defeated Alabama 10-8 Saturday in a game that lasted more than six hours because of a rain delay. The Ole Miss win, coupled with Arkansas' 3-2 loss at Georgia earlier in the day, left the two teams tied atop the SEC West with 18-12 conference records.

Ole Miss will be the No. 2 seed in the SEC Tournament next week by virtue of its home series win over Arkansas in March. The Razorbacks will be the No. 4 seed by virtue of losing a tiebreaker with Georgia.

Arkansas will play the late game at the SEC Tournament on Wednesday against the winner of a Tuesday game between No. 5 seed South Carolina and No. 12 seed Missouri. The non-elimination game will begin at approximately 8 p.m. at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Ala., and SEC Network will televise.

The Razorbacks did not play Missouri this season and defeated South Carolina two of three games in April. The Gamecocks' 3-2 win on April 12 was Arkansas' only conference loss this season at home. The Razorbacks shut out South Carolina in two seven-inning games two days later.

Arkansas has shared or outright won five division championships since entering the SEC in 1992. The Razorbacks' most recent SEC West title came in 2011 when they shared with Ole Miss.

SEC coaches voted Arkansas first and Ole Miss third in the division prior to this season.
