The Bulldogs feature great defensive line play with two All-America candidates. With top backs Rakeem Boyd and Devwah Whaley both trying to battle back from injuries, quarterback Ty Storey may have little time to look for his best weapon, tight end C.J. O’Grady. Mississippi State just has more offense with Nick Fitzgerald’s long strides on run-pass options. Yes, like most everyone else, I think the Hogs get two touchdowns and a field goal once again. Mississippi State, 21-17

If that sounds familiar, it should. After all, the Bulldogs area second straight Razorback opponent one week removed from being shut out by Alabama. Mississippi State, 24-17

Mississippi State has the highest rated defense in the league this season and a mobile quarterback. Arkansas fans can hope for a trap game after the Bulldogs lost to Alabama last week and then the Egg Bowl the following week. Mississippi State, 38-20

Ty Storey will likely face as much pressure as he’s seen all season. Defensive lineman Montez Sweat is the nation’s best at getting to the quarterback. Mississippi State, 28-7

Tommy Craft, ESPN Arkansas

Nick Fitzgerald is a true dual threat quarterback that will give the Arkansas defense problems. The 11 a.m. kickoff softens those cow bells, but great linebacker play and no Arkansas turnovers may mute them. Arkansas, 24-17

It might be more of the same for Arkansas against a solid Mississippi State defensive front and is one of the nation’s best units at stopping the run. The Razorbacks’ best hope is for a hit-and-miss Bulldogs offense to keep sputtering. Mississippi State, 24-14

Usually at some point in the season Arkansas wins a game you don’t expect . Could happen here, but sure doesn’t seem like it is the right place this season. Nick Fitzgerald runs wild. Mississippi State, 31-17

Bart Pohlman, Sports Talk with Bo

It seems clear at this point that Arkansas is overmatched by just about everybody. The defense hasn’t totally let go of the rope, but offensive production is limited. The Bulldogs will roll in Starkville. Mississippi State, 35-13
