Coach Steven Jones:

"Dhante is a great athlete that can play any skill position. He is a good student and gives great effort in the classroom. Dhante is a great teammate and his positivity is contagious. He is a hard-nosed runner inside the tackles and makes plays in our secondary. Dhante had a momentum swinging interception at Fordyce on Friday and then punched in the tying touchdown at running back. He will be a diamond in the rough if a team will give him a shot."

Sees Gibson's future on defense:

"I think he would fit better at outside linebacker or safety."

Great character:

"Dhante is a guy that leads by example. He does everything that we ask and more. He is truly everything you look for in a player on and, more importantly, off the field."
