Baseball exhibition at Oklahoma canceled

— Arkansas’ baseball exhibition game at Oklahoma scheduled for Saturday has been canceled because of weather concerns.

The scrimmage was scheduled to begin at noon in Norman, Okla., but an elevated chance of showers Saturday morning and afternoon made playing the game unlikely. The scrimmage is not expected to be rescheduled.

Arkansas is scheduled to play an exhibition game against Wichita State on Oct. 5 at Baum Stadium beginning at 6 p.m. The Razorbacks are looking to schedule another scrimmage to replace the one lost against Oklahoma.

An NCAA rule modified earlier this year allows teams to scrimmage outside competition twice during fall practice.
