Until the special teams are fixed, it’s hard to pick Arkansas to win. The defense has battled, but may see better running backs this week. It can’t be expected to put out fires for four quarters. The Arkansas offensive line has not arrived yet. Texas A&M, 24-10

No doubt Razorback football fans long for the days when Arkansas beat Texas A&M in the first three games of the Southwest Classic. That last win was way back in 2011 and I don’t see the Razorbacks breaking a six-game losing streak in Arlington this season as new Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher gets his first taste of the Classic. Texas A&M, 38-10

Texas A&M is more tested with games already against Clemson and Alabama. The Aggies have a better offense and have had better quarterback play with Kellen Mond, who should test Arkansas’ defense because of his running ability. The Razorbacks haven’t seen a true dual-threat quarterback yet. Texas A&M, 37-17

Arkansas did some good things at Auburn. The offense looked more in sync even without scoring a TD and the defense played by far its best game. The A&M offense will be a bigger challenge for former Aggies DC John Chavis with a mobile quarterback in Kellen Mond, who has made several big plays already against Alabama and Clemson. Arkansas needs more starters on special teams to fix their issues from last week. If the Razorbacks can stop beating themselves, this could be a fourth-quarter game, but the Aggies are definitely ahead in their transition and likely to win by a couple of touchdowns. Texas A&M, 28-13

Expect Kellen Mond to be productive running and throwing and Arkansas to continue to search for big plays. Texas A&M, 31-21

The Aggies are favored by 21 and should be. While they were losing 28-26 to No. 2 Clemson the Razorbacks were losing to Colorado State, which is 1-4 on the season. Arkansas' lone win was against winless East Carolina. Plus, the Hogs' special teams play cost them a shot at an upset against Auburn. New Aggie head coach Jimbo Fisher has the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation, just behind Georgia and ahead of Alabama, so if the Razorbacks are going to get a win anytime soon it has to be this year. It is time for Chad Morris to pull some rabbits out of his hat and get the Hogs a win. The Aggies secondary can be suspect. The O-line has given up nine sacks. My gut says go with the upset. Arkansas, 28-24

This will be one of the few Southwest Classics that doesn’t come down to a single play in the fourth or overtime. Texas A&M, 31-14

Quarterbacks who can run and throw have been a real problem in recent seasons for the Arkansas defense. Kellen Mond can do both and he has already thrown for seven TDs and run for four more. Will this Chavis defense contain him? Texas A&M 42-27

Bart Pohlman, Sports Talk with Bo Mattingly

Credit Arkansas’ defense for showing some fight against Auburn. But Texas A&M presents a tougher challenge for the Hogs’ D, and without any help from the offense or special teams, Arkansas is in for a fourth straight loss. Texas A&M, 45-13

Chip Souza, NWA Democrat-Gazette

There is probably no other game on the Arkansas schedule that Chad Morris would love to win more than this one. A&M is his alma mater and Texas is prime recruiting territory. Morris will beat the Aggies. You can take that to the bank. It just won’t happen this year. Texas A&M, 35-14
