NOTABLE The teams' scheduled opener Friday was postponed until Saturday because of rainy, cold weather in Fayetteville....Casey Martin and Heston Kjerstad, Freshman All-Americans last season, have switched positions during the offseason. Martin is expected to start at shortstop against EIU, while Kjerstad is expected to play right field. Martin was the team’s starting third baseman most of last season and Kjerstad started every game in left field….Friday’s game will be the first played in Fayetteville since the University of Arkansas board of trustees voted to change the name of the stadium to Baum-Walker Stadium….Two transfers are expected to start for Arkansas on Friday. Matt Goodheart and Trevor Ezell both could play first base or be the designated hitter. Goodheart, a sophomore, played last season at San Jacinto Junior College in Texas, while Ezell, a redshirt senior, played his first three seasons at Southeast Missouri State. Both players are from Arkansas. Goodheart grew up in Magnolia and Ezell grew up in Bryant….Arkansas pitchers Connor Noland and Jacob Kostyshock are scheduled to make their first career starts this weekend. Kostyshock, a junior, has pitched in 15 games in his first two seasons at Arkansas - all in relief. Noland is a freshman….EIU finished 23-31 overall and 12-18 in Ohio Valley Conference games last season. The Panthers ranked third in the OVC in hitting (.271), sixth in pitching (6.26 ERA) and sixth in fielding (.965)….Arkansas has sold at least 6,350 season tickets this season, the most in the history of the program.
