4 Diamond Hogs make All-America preseason team

Arkansas outfielder Heston Kjerstad runs the bases during an exhibition game against Wichita State on Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, in Fayetteville.

— Four Arkansas baseball players were named to Perfect Game's All-America teams on Tuesday.

Sophomore outfielder Heston Kjerstad was on the organizations's first team, junior left-handed relief pitcher Matt Cronin and sophomore middle infielder Casey Martin were named to the second team, and junior outfielder Dominic Fletcher was a third team selection. Arkansas and reigning national champion Oregon State led all teams with four selections apiece.

Martin and Kjerstad were Freshman All-Americans a year ago when they led the Razorbacks with .345 and .332 batting averages, respectively. Kjerstad was tied for the team lead with 14 home runs and had a team-high 58 RBI. Martin hit 13 home runs and had 49 RBI.

Cronin set Arkansas' single-season saves record with 14 last season. Fletcher is a two-year starter in center field and was named to the SEC's all-defensive team a year ago.

The Razorbacks are scheduled to open the 2019 season with a three-game series against Eastern Illinois beginning Feb. 15 at Baum Stadium.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story stated Matt Cronin had 18 saves in 2018. That has been changed to reflect the accurate number of 14.
