KNOXVILLE, Tenn. --Arkansas Coach Mike Anderson drew his first technical foul of the season Tuesday at No. 3 Tennessee, making a stand at half court after Gabe Osabuohien drew his fifth foul with 10:10 remaining in the game won 106-87 by the Volunteers.

When Anderson was teed up it counted as the Razorbacks' 10th team foul of the half. At that time, the Volunteers had four team fouls.

"It's just ridiculous," Anderson said about what led to his technical foul. "It was ridiculous.

"Yeah, I'm going to stand up for my guys. That's one thing I'm going to do. I'm going to stand up. I'm not just going to sit on the sidelines. Just like they're fighting, I'm going to fight."

Anderson also complained about the rough play Tennessee used on 6-11 center Daniel Gafford.

"He got fouled and they didn't call it," Anderson said.

The Razorbacks were whistled for the first six fouls of the second half, all before four minutes had expired, including a fourth foul on Gafford.

Tennessee committed its first foul of the second half at the 15:12 mark, when Jordan Bowden raked a Razorback during an inbounds pass.

Adrio Bailey committed the Hogs' seventh personal foul of the half at the 12:10 mark, putting Tennessee in the bonus for the rest of the game. The Hogs picked up their ninth and 10th team fouls exactly two minutes later.

Aye Admiral

Tennessee guard Admiral Schofield, the SEC's second-leading scorer behind teammate Grant Williams, spent a huge chunk of the first half of the victory over Arkansas on the bench.

After Schofield was charged with a Flagrant 1 foul for popping Arkansas' Jalen Harris in the face on a post-up move at the 12:37 mark, he sat for the rest of the period. Schofield played six minutes and did not score on 0-of-1 shooting in the opening half.

It didn't take long for the muscular 6-6, 241-pound senior to jump into double figures in the second half.

He scored Tennessee's first 14 points after the break, including a pair of three-pointers, on 6-of-7 shooting, as the Volunteers stretched a 55-34 halftime lead into a 69-42 advantage.

Schofield finished with 17 points, just a fraction off his season average of 17.7 ppg.

Battling back

The Razorbacks withstood Admiral Schofield's scoring barrage and a lopsided foul count in the second half to outscore the Volunteers 53-51 after the break.

Arkansas shot 57.1 percent (20 of 35) in the second half and also made 7 of 11 free throws.

"I thought our guys kind of played on their heels early on," Arkansas Coach Mike Anderson said. "I thought in the second half, we just came out and fought them.

"I thought they fought. That's what they did. They fought and they started playing together."

High jumper

Sophomore guard Jalen Harris provided a couple of the Razorbacks' few highlights early in the second half.

Harris jumped high to tip Jordan Bone's long inbounds pass intended for Yves Pons outside the three-point arc, then won a second jump against Pons to tip the ball toward Arkansas' goal. Harris gained control and put through a two-handed dunk.

A few moments later, Harris went high again to slam down a missed layup by Mason Jones against Tennessee's pressure.

Free-throw woes

The Razorbacks, the worst free-throw shooting team in the conference at 64 percent entering the game, didn't help themselves in the early part of the game.

As the Volunteers were getting separation during a 20-5 start, Arkansas was going 2 of 6 from the free-throw line.

Adrio Bailey and Gabe Osabuohien both made 1 of 2 tries on shooting fouls. Moments after Osabuohien's free throws, Jalen Harris went to the line after a Flagrant 1 foul on Admiral Schofield and missed them both.

DQ 3

Arkansas forward Gabe Osabuohien drew five fouls in just 10 minutes of playing time as the first of three Razorbacks to foul out.

The 6-8, 221-pound forward fouled out at the 10:10 mark of the second half with 5 points on 5-of-7 free-throw shooting, 1 rebound and 2 turnovers.

Forward Daniel Gafford played a large chunk of the second half with four fouls before drawing his fifth with 4:33 remaining. Gafford played around with the Thompson-Boling Arena crowd by acting as if he would sit down and then stretching his back out about three times. The crowd was waiting to scream "sit down" when Gafford actually took his seat.

Adrio Bailey made it three disqualifications for the Hogs when he fouled out at the 3:31 mark.

Sixth men

For the first time since Dec. 19, forward Gabe Osabuohien was not the first Razorback off the bench. Guard Desi Sills and forward Reggie Chaney, both freshmen, checked in at the 16:09 mark. Osabuohien checked in at 14:28 as the ninth man behind Keyshawn Embery-Simpson.
