Junior offensive linemen Javion Cohen and Joshua Jones enjoy playing together and talk often about attending the same college.
"All the time," Jones said.
The University of Arkansas is giving them that opportunity after extending scholarship offers to both.
Jones, 6-7, 305 pounds, and Cohen, 6-5, 265, are twin towers at offensive tackle for powerhouse Phenix City (Ala.) Central, the same school Razorbacks' running back commitment A'Montae Spivey attends.
The Hogs, Troy, Alabama-Birmingham, Alabama State and Alabama A&M are Jones' scholarship offers, while Cohen has offers from Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Virginia, West Virginia and others.
They discussed the possibility of being Razorbacks last week.
"For example like today, we were talking about what if we go to the college and I told him, 'Yeah, Arkansas would be a good place for us,' " Jones said.
The entire Arkansas offensive staff visited the school Monday to see Spivey while also checking in on Jones, Cohen and others. Offensive line coach Dustin Fry has Cohen and Jones interested in becoming Hogs.
"He's a very energetic guy, and I'm like a spark plug, so having an energetic coach always helps my game," Cohen said. "He's funny, so the laughs are always rolling, and he's an honest guy who wants you to see him for him."
Cohen sees himself as a leader.
"I see myself as the person or player to get everything started," he said. "From workouts to the fourth quarter, I try to keep my guys' energy and heads high so we perform at our best ability.
"My coaches pulled me aside one day before the start of the 2018 season and told me I had to step up being that I was seen as a leader and get everyone going. I put all my trust into my coaches, so I started doing it and it just stuck to me. So now I'm a live wire and I do so with passion."
Cohen credits his mother, Philecia Fuller, for inspiring him to become a leader.
"My mom always looked upon me as her right-hand man, so when I had to I became that leader to help her with any and everything," Cohen said. "She's my role model, so I picked up her leader traits early on and put them to use for football."
Jones appreciates that Fry and Arkansas believe in him.
"I have interest in Arkansas because they were the first SEC team to take a shot at me, plus it is a developing program that is a fit for guys like me," he said. "The offer was amazing, best feeling ever. It was so important because it was an opportunity to live a big dream that me and my family have been waiting on, and that is a chance to play in the SEC."
Spivey has talked up Arkansas to Jones and Cohen.
"He told me that it was an amazing place," Jones said.
Cohen is impressed with the Razorback fan base, especially ESPN Hall of Fame fan Canaan Sandy.
"The fan base is very strong, including they have the one and only Canaan Sandy, Hall of Fame fan," Cohen said.
Sandy, who travels the state and sometimes the region rooting on Hog recruits, started working on Cohen on Twitter immediately after he and Jones received their offers from Arkansas on Dec. 13.
"When I got my offer from Arkansas, Canaan requested a follow, and I've been seeing him on Twitter ever since," Cohen said. "He's a great guy, and I hope to meet him one day."
Cohen and Jones are looking to visit Arkansas in the spring.
"He just wants me to attend the spring game, so I can see how he is on and off the field," Jones said of Fry. "Also learn the drills and techniques the offensive linemen do."
